People talk a good game, but few actually take action to go Off Grid. Controlling your own destiny and taking back control of your life isn't easy and that's why so few have the balls to do it. There is a process of acceptance few can actually deal with. To make a conscious choice to leave the world you currently live in behind and enter one that is unknown is NOT easy. Leaving a comfortable routine behind where everything is there for you and conveniently at your fingertips is not easy no matter how expensive it is. This is because even though you will live a Life of Freedom and Self-Control it will still mean you need to do it YOURSELF!
That is just something people are too lazy to do or accept...FREEDOM may be a much CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE, but it's NOT an EASIER ALTERNATIVE! Today's society really never had to work for anything. This is the real problem with getting people to realize that being FREE and having INDEPENDENCE is something one must put time in, sacrifice, and hard work. Nothing easy lasts...

Going OFF GRID isn't something you just say one day you're doing...It's a STATE OF MIND, it's PREPARATION, it's LEARNING, it's ACCEPTANCE, it's knowing that FREEDOM isn't easy...once you do understand this...then...then you will control your destiny!
For you to prepare yourself to go OFF GRID you need to accept some crucial points and ask yourself some serious questions, because cutting yourself off from the world is about putting work in and changing your lifestyle...These easy question are only a FEW you need to answer for yourself...THERE ARE MANY MORE, but if you can't accept these simple questions...you might not be able to unplug from Society...Some people just can't accept such uncomfortable change!
* Do you plan on disconnecting from the outside world? Do you want to cut yourself off from the Communication Grid or do you want some form of normalcy like satellite and internet?
* What Alternative Energy supplies will you choose? Solar, Wind, Hydro?
* Are you going to be able to accept getting off a municipal water supply and create and build a Water-catchment system for yourself?
* How are you going to deal with your own waste and sewage? Are you going to build an entire Septic System or are you going to accept the less comfortable, but better alternative of Composting?
*How will you be Heating and Cooling your home? Air Conditioning, Fans, Stove Fireplace?
*How will you be dealing with the Zoning Laws and Legal issues of your State...Hawaii or other wise...Will you be building a foundation for your Tiny Off Grid Home which will require you more zoning and legal issues or will you be putting your Tiny Home on wheels which will allow you to be Mobil and get around Zoning and legal issues?
These questions and more MUST be answered if you intend to go OFF GRID and live a liberating world of FREEDOM where NO ONE can touch you or DICTATE to you how to live your life and how much it will cost to live it!
